IS AlCOHOL HARAM OR HALAL?

Nowhere does Allah forbid alcohol in the Quran.

Allah informs us that Salat is not to be approached while intoxicated. This nullifies the `haram` argument in its infancy.

Allah tells us heaven will have rivers of alcohol as well as milk and honey. This again nullifies the `haram` argument as no pig or blood or any other `haram` elements are made available.

The verse used most to outlaw alcohol speaks of the `devil` and that he should be avoided (not the alcohol).

Clearly alcohol is not forbidden in Islam and the only restriction found in the Quran is to avoid making Salat if intoxicated.

However, having said all of the above, it must be noted that alcohol is to treated with `caution` as it may lead to sin and is one of the preferred tools used by the devil to entice humankind.

The substance alcohol is not Prohibited, but it is the effect of intoxication that is to be avoided because of devil. We can use something in a positive way or in a negative way Allah has left this upon us as a test. Alcohol also used in different medicines so it has its benefits.

2:219 They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say: “In them (Fihima) is great harm (Ithm), and a benefit for the people; but their harm (Ithm) is greater than their benefit (Manafioo).” And they ask you how much they are to give, say: “The excess.” It is thus that Allah clarifies for you the revelations that you may think.

The above verse saying `fihima ithm` (`in them is ithm`) means intoxicants and gambling and not they are Ithm. Thus, intoxicant in itself is not `Ithm` but may be used in a way that produces the `Ithm` (which is in-line with the previous point that the devil uses these tools against people).

5:90 O you who believe, intoxicants, and gambling, and sacraments, and fortunes are an affliction used by the devil. You shall avoid him so that you may be successful.

fajtaniboohu “You shall avoid him” in verse 5:90 is used for devil not Alcohol.

5:91 The devil only wants to cause strife between you through intoxicants and gambling, and to repel you away from remembering Allah and from the contact prayer. Will you be deterred?

ARE WE ALLOWED TO MAKE THINGS HALAL AND HARAM?

16:67 And from the fruits of the palm trees and the grapes you make wine and a GOOD PROVISION. In that is a sign for a people who comprehend.

7:32 Say: “Who has made unlawful the nice things that Allah has brought forth for His servants and the good provisions?” Say: “THEY ARE MEANT FOR THOSE WHO BELIEVE DURING THIS WORLDLY LIFE, AND THEY WILL BE EXCLUSIVE FOR THEM ON THE DAY OF RESURRECTION.” It is such that We explain the revelations for those who know.

5:87     O you who believe, do not make unlawful the good things that Allah has made lawful to you, and do not aggress; Allah does not love the aggressors.

10:59   Say: “Have you seen what Allah has sent down to you from provisions, then you have made some of it forbidden and some lawful?” Say: “Did Allah authorize you, or do you invent lies about Allah?”

16:116  And do not say, as to what your tongues falsely describe: “This is lawful, and that is forbidden;” that you seek to invent lies about Allah. Those who invent lies about Allah will not succeed.

==>ALLAH SAID ALCOHOL WILL BE IN PARADISE SO IT IS NOT HARAM IN THIS WORLD AND IN PARADISE.<==

Harams and Halals have already been established in the Quran.

Any law beyond, before, after, up, down means to prevent, restrict, control, modify but please don’t say Haram.
