TAKE THE METHOD OF SALAT FROM THE STATION (MAQAM) OF ABRAHAM OR KAABA ???

Many people believe the words in verse 2:125 “wa ttakhithoo min maqami ibraheema musallan” Means “And Take the Salat from the station (Maqam) of Abraham” or in other words Take Salat as it is performed at the Kaaba.

But according to my understanding the phrase “wa ttakhithoo min maqami ibraheema musallan” in verse 2:125 Means “And hold place where Abraham stood as place of Salat”.

TRANSLITERATION

Wa-ith jaAAalna albayta mathabatanlinnasi waamnan wattakhithoo minmaqami ibraheema musallan waAAahidnaila ibraheema wa-ismaAAeela an tahhirabaytiya litta-ifeena walAAakifeenawarrukkaAAi assujood

TRANSLATION

And when We kept the House for steadfastness of the people and [a place of] security. And hold place where Abraham stood as place of Salat. And We made an agreement with Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], “Purify My House for those who Visit and those who are devoted [to this place] and those who take heed and surrender [to Allah].” 2:125

Lets suppose if we take the meaning of take the salat from the station of Abraham in other words we have to follow the method of Salat performed at the Kaaba today then we know that today the Salat performed at the Kaaba is according to the Salafi/ Wahabi SECT.

NOW WE KNOW WHAT ALLAH SAYS ABOUT ISLAM & SECTS IN THE QURAN

3:85 And whosoever seeks a faith other than Islam it will never be accepted from him, and he shall be of the losers in the Hereafter.

6:159 Verily, those who have caused a split in their system (Deen) and became (divided into) SECTS you have no concern whatsoever with them. Their case will come before Allah, then He will (judge it) and will fully inform them of what they have been doing.

30:32 Of those who have split up their system (Deen) and have divided themselves into SECTS so that every party is happy with what they have.

So does it mean we have to Perform Salat according to Salafi/Wahabi SECT method?

I think “Take the Salat from the station (Maqam) of Abraham or Kaaba” is the wrong understanding.

May Allah Guide us all.
