‘Hubb’ in Arabic means to love. ‘Ahabba’ means to like, to love

Allah loves those who do good /Good doers (2:195, 5:13, 5:93, 3:134, 3:148)

Allah loves those who repent (2:222)

Allah loves the just (5:42)

Allah loves the ones who spend in prosperity and hardship, and who repress anger, and who pardon the people. (3:134)

Allah loves the patient (3:146)

Allah loves the fearing / righteous (3:76, 9:4, 9:7)

Allah loves who put their trust in Him (3:159)

Allah loves those who strive for spiritual purification / cleanse themselves (9:108)

Allah loves those that keep themselves physically pure and clean (2:222)

Allah loves those who fight in His way (61:4)

Allah loves those who are equitable (49:9; 60:8)

Allah loves those who pardon other and overlook (5:13)

Allah loves those who are humble towards the believers, proud towards the rejecters; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear to be blamed by those who blame. (5:54)


La Yuhibbu means ‘(does) not love’

Allah does not love the aggressors (2:190)

Allah does not love corruption (2:205)

Allah does not love the evildoers / wrongdoers (3:57; 3:140)

Allah does not love the guilty / the ingrate / ungrateful sinner (2:276)

Allah does not love the treacherous / traitors (8:58)

Allah does not love the disbelievers (3:32)

Allah does not love the arrogant / boastful / proud / exultant (4:36; 28:76; 31:18; 57:23)

Allah does not love the shouting of evil words / public mention of evil words (4:148)

Allah does not love the workers of corruption / those who corrupt / corrupters (5:64; 28:77)

Allah does not love the guilty traitor / treacherous sinner (4:107; 22:38)

Allah does not love the transgressors (5:87)


Those who dispute about the revelations of Allah without any authority that has come to them, it is greatly abhorred with Allah and with those who believe. Allah thus seals the hearts of every arrogant tyrant. (40:35)

It is very hateful in the sight of Allah that you say that which you do not do yourself (61:3)


And Do not kill your children out of concern of poverty 17:31

And Do not come near adultery, for it is immoral and an evil path. 17:32

And Do not take a life, for Allah has made this forbidden, except in the course of justice. And whoever is killed innocently, then We have given his heir authority, so let him not transgress in the taking of a life, for He will be given victory. 17:33

And Do not come near the money of the orphan, except for that which is best, until he reaches his independence. And fulfill the pledge, for the pledge brings great responsibility. 17:34

And Give full measure when you deal, and weigh with a balance that is straight. That is good and better in the end. 17:35

And Do not uphold what you have no knowledge of. For the hearing, eyesight, and heart, all these you are responsible for. 17:36

And Do not walk in the land arrogantly, for you will not penetrate the earth, nor will you reach the mountains in height. 17:37

All of this is bad, and disliked (Makrooha) by your Lord. 17:38
