Prophet Muhammad was sent to Teach the Quran!
ACCORDING TO THE QURAN ALLAH TAUGHT PROPHET MUHAMMAD THE QURAN
53:2 Your friend was not astray, nor was he deceived.
53:3 Nor does he speak from personal desire.
53:4 It (The Quran) is a divine inspiration.
53:5 He has been taught by the One mighty in power.
ALLAH IS THE TEACHER OF THE QURAN
55:1 The Almighty.
55:2 He has taught the Qur’an.
55:3 He has created man.
55:4 He taught him how to distinguish.
96:1 Read in the name of your Lord who has created.
96:2 He created man from an embryo.
96:3 Read, and your Lord is the Generous One.
96:4 The One who taught by the pen.
96:5 He taught man what he did not know.
ACCORDING TO THESE VERSES MESSENGER TEACHES THE BOOK THE QURAN 2:129, 2:151, 3:164, 62:2
Now the Messenger Teaching the Book does not mean that the teaching was the explanation of the verses because Allah is the Mufasir (Explainer) of the Quran.
25:33 And for every example they come to you with, We bring you the truth and the best explanation (Tafseer).
Finally Allah has said in various parts of The Quran that only some will understand it and some have seals placed over them so they cannot understand it (17:46, 56:79). This would not be possible if The Quran was taught by the prophet with explanations.
According to the Quran Messenger received/followed only the Quran and the Messenger taught people what Allah taught him which was the Quran Alone.
27:92 “And that I recite the Qur’an.” He who is guided is guided for himself, and to he who is misguided, say: “I am but one of the warners.”
6:105 “And thus do We repeat the verses and that they may say: You have read; and that We may make it clear to a people who know.”
