HOURI OR HOOR IN THE QURAN

According to the traditional Islam Hurin Enin is the term limited only for females which believing men will get in Paradise but when we read the Quran we see this term is not limited for just females.

DESCRIPTION OF HOURIS/HOORS IN THE QURAN

37:45 They will be served with a cup of pure drink.

37:46 White, delicious for the drinkers.

37:47 There is no hallucination in it and nor will they become exhausted from it.

37:48 And with them will be those shy (Qasiratu) glances (Tarfi) lovely (Enin).

37:49 They are like fragile eggs.

The word Qasiratu referring to the feminine gender therefore we can say these verses are referring to female Hurin Enin.

44:53 Wearing silk and satin; facing each other.

44:54 So it is, and We pair them (Zawajna+hum) with lovely companions (Bi-Hurin Enin).
44:55 They enjoy in it all kinds of fruits, in perfect peace.

44:56 They do not taste death therein except for the first death, and He has spared them the retribution of Hell.

In above verses no feminine gender is used there so we can say these verses are referring to both male and female Hurin Enin.

52:19 Eat and drink happily because of what you used to do.

52:20 They recline on arranged beds, and We pair them (Zawajna+hum) with lovely companions (Bi-Hurin Enin).

52:21 And those who believed, and their progeny also followed them in belief; We will have their progeny join them. We never fail to reward them for any work. Every person is paid for what he did.

52:22 We will supply them with fruit and meat such as they desire.

Again we can see from the above verses that no feminine gender is used there so we can say these verses are referring to both male and female Hurin Enin.

55:56 In them are those with shy (Qasiratu) glances (Tarfi), not sexually touched (Yatmith+hunna) before by any Ins or Jinn.
55:58 They look like rubies and coral.

55:72 Companions (Hurun) sheltered (Maqsuratun) inside (Fil) the tents (Al Khiyami).

55:74 No Ins has ever sexually touched them (Yatmith+hunna), nor Jinn.

The word Qasiratu, Yatmith+hunna and Maqsuratun referring to feminine gender therefore we can say these verses are referring to female Hurin Enin.

56:20 And fruits of their choice.

56:21 And meat of birds that they desire.

56:22 And lovely companions (Hurun Ayen).

56:23 Like pearls which are sheltered.

56:24 A reward for their works.

Again we can see from the above verses that no feminine gender is used there so we can say these verses are referring to both male and female Hurin Enin.

56:35 Indeed, we have produced them (Anshana+hunna) in a (new) creation.

56:36 Then We have made them (Ja’alna+hunna) young/fresh (Abkaran).

56:37 Perfect, mature in age.

56:38 For those on the right side.

56:39 Many from the early generations.

56:40 And many from the later generations.

The word Anshana+hunna, Ja’alna+hunna and Abkaran referring to feminine gender therefore we can say these verses are referring to female Hurin Enin.

AZWAJUN MUTAHHARATUN (MEANS PURE SPOUSES)

2:25 And give good news to those who believe and do good works that they will have estates with rivers flowing beneath them. Every time they receive a provision of its fruit, they say: “This is what we have been provisioned before,” and they are given its likeness. And there they will have pure spouses (Azwajun Mutahharatun), and in it they will abide.

3:15 Say: “Shall I inform you of what is greater than all this? For those who believe in their Lord will be estates with rivers flowing beneath them; abiding therein, and with pure spouses (Azwajun Mutahharatun), and an acceptance from God. And God is Seer over the servants.”

4:57 And those who believe and do good, We will admit them to estates with rivers flowing beneath them; abiding therein eternally, in it they will have pure spouses (Azwajun Mutahharatun), and We will admit them to a vast shade.

THEIR SPOUSES (AZWAJIHIM)

13:23 The gardens of delight; which they will enter with those who are good doers from their fathers and their spouses (Azwajihim) and their progeny. And the angels will enter upon them from every gate.

40:8 “Our Lord, and admit them into gardens of delight which You had promised for them and for those who did good of their fathers, their spouses (Azwajihim), and their progeny. You are the Noble, the Wise.”

ARE HURIN ENIN MALES OR FEMALES ?

The term Hurin Enin is not only limited to females. There are also males Hurin Enin.

There are different verses about Hurin Enin. Some talk about female Hurin but some without any gender.

In Arabic when there are group mix of men and women the male pronoun is used for them.

So if Quran says Hurin is for “THEM” it means for THEM (both men and women).

There are verses in the Quran which say: for them [who are in paradise] is whatever they wish (16:31, 25:16, 39:34, 42:22, 50:35).

BELIEVERS WILL HAVE WHATEVER THEY WISH IN PARADISE

16:31 Gardens of delight; which they will enter, with rivers flowing beneath them, in it THEY WILL HAVE WHAT THEY WISH. It is such that God rewards the righteous.

21:102 They shall not hear the slightest sound from it, and IN THAT WHICH THEIR SOUL DESIRES abiding therein.

41:31 “We are your allies in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. In it (Paradise) YOU WILL HAVE ANYTHING YOUR SOUL DESIRES, and in it YOU WILL HAVE ANYTHING YOU ASK FOR.”

43:71 They will be served with golden trays and cups, and they will find EVERYTHING THEIR SOUL DESIRES AND THE EYES WISH FOR, and you will abide therein.

25:16 In it (Paradise) THEY WILL HAVE WHAT THEY WISH eternally. It is upon your Lord an obligated promise.

39:34 They shall have (In Paradise) WHAT THEY WISH at their Lord. Such is the reward for the good doers.

42:22 You see the transgressors worried because of what they had done; and it will come back at them. As for those who believed and do good works, they will be in gardens of bliss. THEY WILL HAVE WHAT THEY WISH from their Lord. This is the great blessing.

50:35 In it (Paradise) THEY WILL HAVE WHAT THEY WISH, and We have even more.

So a woman simply can wish for a male Hurin if they want.

CONCLUSION

The term Hurin Enin in the Quran is not limited to the females which the believing men will get as a reward in Paradise but it is also refer to male Hurin Enin depending on the context of the verses.

In fact it should be asked what is your proof of Hurin is only a female. This is only a misunderstanding in mind of people and has no basis. Even if there are descriptions about female Hurin this does not mean that no male Hurin exists.

Finally!

32:17 No person knows what is being hidden for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do.
